What a Rorotoko Feature Looks Like

A Rorotoko feature is a short, structured interview thread that explores the central ideas behind your work.

Features typically include:

• A curated interview about your book, research, art, or other creative project
• A dedicated Rorotoko profile page featuring your interview thread and a brief bio
• Promotion through our site and social channels
• Permanent placement in the Rorotoko archive of interviews

Our readers include academics, writers, students, artists, and intellectually curious readers from around the world.

How the Application Process Works

‍

1. Submit an application describing your work.
2. Application review takes approximately one week.
3. If accepted, you will receive:
   • a short feature agreement, and
   • a payment link for your selected feature placement.
4. After confirmation, we schedule and prepare your feature.

Application fee:
$50 (non-refundable) — this helps support editorial review and application screening.

The card links to a dedicated page where the full interview thread appears in the same format as all interviews in the Rorotoko archive, labeled as a "Supported Thread". Visually, it appears similar to other interview cards on the homepage.

A standard Rorotoko interview thread published as a card on the homepage, appearing just below the most recent interviews. The card links to a dedicated profile page, where the full interview thread is presented. The format will match all interviews in the Rorotoko archive and will be labeled as a “Featured Thread.” Visually, it appears similar to the "tomorrow thread" feature on the homepage.

  Your feature will also be shared across Rorotoko’s social media channels.
• Zoom Interview & Edited Transcript — $150
  Instead of submitting written responses, you may opt for a recorded Zoom conversation. The interview will be transcribed and professionally cleaned for publication.
